About Robin

I am a 33-year-old stay-at-home mother of 4 young children, ages 9, 7, 4, and 1. I have lived in Utah all my life and am a member of the LDS church.  I have been married to my darling Andrew for eleven (yikes!) years and we enjoy going to plays, concerts, and movies together.  We like all the same TV shows (well, almost–he’s not really big on Dancing With The Stars) and most of the same music.  I have a BA in English from BYU and occasionally do some editing (books, short stories, etc) on the side.  However, I spend most of my time now being a mother and a wife and find that that keeps me busy enough lately.

Things that I have done in the past that I used to say defined me, and that I would like to do again: play in an orchestra (violin), play piano for fun, be artistic (I used to carry a sketchbook around with me), read (especially fantasy novels, but also classics, interesting biographies, and the occasional mystery or unique-looking romance), dance (love ballroom!).

Things I enjoy now when the time is right: gardening (I’m not particularly good at it, though), cooking (I’m a bit of a food snob, I think), decorating projects around my house, online photobook making, reading blogs, singing in a choir.

Things I usually end up doing: feeding my children, housework, driving kids places (basketball, preschool, the library), spending too much time online, keeping kids from killing each other, reading to my kids, and so on and so forth.

Something I plan on doing in the future as soon as things work out financially and time-wise:  going back to school for a degree in Interior Design.
